Why are we doing this?

  Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the world, with over 50 million players in the U.S. alone  (a major target market) — with the popularity exploding around the globe particularly in Australia, New Zealand India and Asia with a new Major League Professional Pickleball competition entering its second year similar to the Nationwide Professional League in the US. This has resulted in an estimated 100 million people having tried pickleball in the last year according to the internet.worldwide. But while the game connects us on the court, there’s no dedicated way to connect off the court when we travel. We believe if we could attract 1% of this market this could result in $200 million of revenue but more exciting 1 million happy people.

Current platforms like Airbnb or TrustedHousesitters are great, but they don’t cater to our unique community. We’re different. We’re building a space just for us — one where you can stay with someone who knows the joy of a perfect drop shot and can even connect you to the local club before you unpack your bags.

Imagine landing in a new city, immediately getting immersed in the local pickleball scene with people in the know, staying in a host’s spare room or looking after someone’s house while they are away playing elsewhere, and joining a friendly group on the court to pit your skills against and then engaging in friendly banter and comradery that is all part of our great worldwide pickleball fraternity — that’s what Pickleball Homestay is all about.
